We deliver the funds raised so far from the Solidarity Masks

With the arrival of the pandemic, the Solidarity Masks project was born together with Nandu Jubany. The #ConUnaSonrisa campaign aims to help stop the COVID-19 pandemic. With each purchase of a Solidarity Mask, we donate €5 to research at Bellvitge. We want to thank everyone who has collaborated and continues to do so. Together, we have already raised €16,265 — a donation we delivered today to Bellvitge Investiga. These €16,265 will be fully allocated to the research projects initiated by IDIBELL in collaboration with Bellvitge University Hospital and the Catalan Institute of Oncology, to stop the COVID-19 pandemic and prevent new outbreaks. Biomedical research is the only way out of the current crisis and future health threats. Bellvitge has redirected many efforts to find both short- and long-term solutions. Gabriel Capellá, director of IDIBELL: “We have nearly 40 ongoing studies covering all angles of COVID, from genetic analyses of the most severe patients or those who have recovered, to innovative therapeutic strategies and ongoing clinical trials.” We only have left to say THANK YOU to everyone who has made this possible and to those who continue making it possible.
